Philippe Franchet co-founded L Catterton Europe in 2001.

Mr. Franchet began his career in 1987 with Credit Lyonnais in Tokyo as a derivatives trader and then as Head of the Financial Engineering & Derivatives trading desk. In 1995, he joined McKinsey & Co where he focused on strategy and operational improvement in Telecoms, Pharmaceuticals and Logistics. He worked across Europe, Hong Kong and Singapore. In 1997, Mr. Franchet joined Eurazeo, the investment arm of the Lazard Group, as member of the Executive Committee in charge of private equity investments. In 2000, Mr. Franchet joined Groupe Arnault, as Senior Vice President in charge of investments for Europatweb, the newly formed technology and internet investment group of Bernard Arnault.

Mr. Franchet brings 29 years of substantial experience in the investment banking sector and in the private equity industry. Mr. Franchet was involved in numerous private equity investments in Europe, US and Asia.

Mr. Franchet holds a Master of Science from Telecom Paris Tech and an MBA from Harvard Business School.

Andrea Ottaviano joined L Catterton Europe in 2008 as Partner to lead the Milan office.

Mr. Ottaviano began his career in 1994 at Barclays de Zoete Wedd, initially as a Financial/Credit Analyst and latterly as a Structured Finance Executive. In 1996, Andrea joined Société Générale as an M&A Associate. In 1998, he joined Mediobanca as a Vice- President in the Equity Capital Markets group, where he oversaw several offerings within the Italian market. From 2000, Mr. Ottaviano served as a Vice-President in Merrill Lynch’s Investment Banking division, where he was responsible for the Consumer & Retail industry in Italy and Spain. In 2002, he became CEO and General Manager for MCC Sofipa, the private equity arm of Capitalia (now Unicredit Group).

Mr. Ottaviano brings 22 years of substantial experience in the investment banking sector and in the private equity industry, having led various investments and exits such as Cigierre, Zanotti, Cellular Line, Teckal, Randazzo, Sardegna Resorts, and having successfully completed the sale in the secondary market of the MCC Sofipa funds to Goldman Sachs and AXA Private Equity.

Mr. Ottaviano is a graduate of Luigi Bocconi University, Milan.

Mr. Hexter is a Managing Partner of L Catterton. Prior to joining L Catterton, Mr Hexter was at McKinsey & Company for over 20 years where he was a Senior Partner and served a broad range of clients on strategic, operational, organizational, M&A and other issues. While at McKinsey & Company, Mr. Hexter also held a variety of leadership positions including Chairman of the Firm's Beijing office, leading the Firm's Operations Practice in Asia and being founding head of the Firm's Global Infrastructure Practice. Mr Hexter earned an MBA with distinction from the Harvard Business School and a BA in mathematical economics from Brown University where he graduated magna cum laude.

Mr. Abbruzzese is a Partner and the Chief Operating Officer of L Catterton. Prior to joining L Catterton, Mr. Abbruzzese was with the General Electric Company for the past 19 years, having most recently led the Bank Loan business within GE Capital. Since joining GE in 1997, Mr. Abbruzzese held various assignments across the Commercial Lending, Private Equity, Corporate Staff and Finance functions, with an emphasis on developing and executing on strategic initiatives in new market development opportunities across a broad spectrum of industries. Prior to joining GE, Mr. Abbruzzese served in the strategic consulting, audit and corporate finance arenas including several years with Coopers & Lybrand.

Mr. Abbruzzese graduated cum laude with a B.A. in Physics from the College of the Holy Cross, and received his M.B.A/M.S.A. from Northeastern University.

Eduardo Velasco joined L Catterton Europe in 2004 as an Investment Manager and was promoted to Partner in 2009.

Mr. Velasco began his career in Mexico. In 1996, following an experience in audit and consulting services, he founded and managed a financial services consulting firm advising companies in various industry sectors (telecoms, civil engineering, consumer services, apparel and retail) to manage financial and operational challenges and opportunities. In 2001, Mr. Velasco joined Andersen Corporate Finance in France (merged into Ernst & Young) where he led Due Diligence, M&A and Restructuring projects for international corporate clients and private equity firms, in various sectors across Europe, including transactions as Vivendi Universal Publishing, Vivarte, Degussa, LPR, etc. In 2003, Eduardo joined Deloitte Corporate Finance, as Senior Consultant in the Transaction Services team, where he led several projects, including the acquisition of SNET by ENDESA.

Mr. Velasco brings 21 years of consulting and private equity experience, having managed numerous investment and exit transactions at L Catterton including SMCP, ba&sh, Nutrition & Santé, Micromania, Imaginarium, Captain Tortue, etc.

Mr. Franchet holds a Finance Degree from University of Guadalajara - Mexico, a Master Degree in Financial Engineering from ITESO – Mexico, and an International Management Degree from HEC – France.

Jean-Philippe Barade joined L Catterton Europe in 2016 as Partner to lead the London office.

Mr. Barade began his career in 1997 at Credit Suisse First Boston as an Analyst in Paris and then Associate in New York in investment banking within the M&A Group. In 1999, Mr. Barade joined Permira and was subsequently promoted to Principal in the Consumer Team where he focused on investments in consumer, retail and leisure across Europe as well as in France across all sectors. In that capacity, Mr. Barade worked on many acquisitions and exits such as Cognis, Birds Eye iglo, Britvic, Holmes Place. In 2008, Mr. Barade joined Morgan Stanley Private Equity, a global private equity fund sponsored by Morgan Stanley, initially as an Executive Director and then as Managing Director and Partner as well as Member of the Investment Committee for Morgan Stanley Capital Partners V. In 2013, Mr. Barade co- founded B&B Investment Partners as a new private equity fund sponsored by Walgreens Boots Alliance to make acquisitions in health and wellness, beauty and consumer healthcare.

Mr. Barade brings 17 years of private equity experience in leading firms with a focus on the consumer and retail sectors across Europe.

Mr. Barade holds a MBA from ESSEC Business School, Paris.

Nicolas Desbois joined L Catterton Europe in November 2011 as Partner and CFO.

Mr. Desbois began his career in 1991 as a consultant at Arthur Andersen. He joined LVMH in 1996 as CFO of the media and press group (“DI Group – La Tribune”), and has spent 15 years in the media and press group of LVMH where he held various positions in the finance, HR and operational functions. As CFO he conducted several acquisitions or disposals of media or internet companies. In 2003, he became Deputy Managing Director of “DI Group – La Tribune” in charge of Finance, HR, IT and Legal affairs, and conducted several restructuring plans or strategic and brand repositioning. In 2007, Mr. Desbois managed for the LVMH Group the acquisition of Les Echos (direct competitor of La Tribune newspaper) and the disposal of La Tribune. In 2008 he was appointed Managing Director of Les Echos in the new media group renamed “Groupe Les Echos”. In this position, he participated to the reorganization of the new group and implemented several operational projects as new media formulas, or new commercial policy and organization.

Mr. Desbois holds a Master of Science and Engineering from Ecole des Mines Paris Tech.

Christian Mariager joined L Catterton Europe in 2016 as an Operating Partner.

Mr. Mariager began his career in 1988 with McKinsey & Company where he stayed until 2012. As a partner and senior partner, he served a broad range of consumer focused clients, including PE firms, on a wide range of topics, including strategy, organization, operations, sales/marketing, transformation/turn around and M&A. While at McKinsey, Mr. Mariager held a number of leadership positions including Head of the Foreign Affiliated Company Practice in Tokyo, Leader of the Firms Copenhagen Office, Co-leader of the European FMCG practice and Leader of the Consumer Practice in New York. From 2013, Christian served as CEO of the successful globally expanding variety retailer Flying Tiger (Tiger) - a portfolio company of private equity firm EQT.

Mr. Mariager brings 26 years of strategic and operational experience in global consumer industries and in the Private Equity industry.

Mr Mariager holds a BA in Science and Statistics from Copenhagen Business School and an MBA from Columbia Business School.

Mr. Ever is the Managing Director of Investor Relations at L Catterton. Prior to joining L Catterton, he spent 11 years at AlpInvest Partners, most recently as a Principal. At AlpInvest, Mr. Ever helped build the US Co-Investment business and team, and was involved in the sourcing, execution and monitoring of more than 30 equity Co-Investment transactions. He was also engaged in a number of business development related activities for the Firm. Prior to joining AlpInvest, he was a Director of Business Development at Walker Digital (founder of Priceline.com). Prior to joining Walker Digital, Mr. Ever was an investment banking analyst in the Consumer Growth group at CIBC World Markets in New York, where he focused on mergers and acquisitions and equity and debt capital raising.

Mr. Ever received a B.A. in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania.
David McPherson

Mr. McPherson is the Chief Legal Officer of L Catterton. Prior to joining L Catterton, Mr. McPherson was a partner in the corporate department of Latham & Watkins with a practice focusing on corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, and fund formation. He has extensive experience representing issuers, private equity funds and underwriters in both public and private financing transactions, representing public and private companies in both acquisitions and the sales of their businesses and advising both sponsors and investors in the US and internationally in the organization, negotiation and operation of investment funds, including buyout, venture capital, real estate, emerging markets and other funds. Prior to joining Latham & Watkins, Mr. McPherson was an associate in the business practice and private equity group of Testa, Hurwitz & Thibeault. Mr. McPherson was a clerk to Justice Francis P. O'Connor of the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court from 1993 to 1994.

Mr. McPherson earned a B.S. magna cum laude in management from the University of Massachusetts, and received his J.D. magna cum laude from Boston University.

Mr. Reid is the Chief Compliance Officer and Deputy General Counsel at L Catterton. Prior to joining L Catterton, Mr. Reid spent nearly 5 years as a Director in the Investment Management Advisory practice at KPMG. His practice focused on regulatory compliance and governance, risk and control efforts at a variety of asset management firms, including private equity, hedge, real estate and infrastructure funds, diversified bank affiliated asset managers, mutual fund sponsors, and at a variety of institutional investors. Prior to KPMG, Mr. Reid served in a variety of legal and compliance roles at a fund of hedge funds, the SEC and at a private law firm. Mr. Reid started his career as an analyst in the commercial and investment banking fields.

Mr. Reid earned a BS from the University of Oregon and received his JD from the University of San Francisco.
